Biography

From Sales Leads to A/R to Pagination, Directory Resources' BookMan is a powerful and proven system designed specifically for making phone books fast, easy, profitable, and on time! BookMan offers many innovative capabilities not found elsewhere.

BookMan is used to produce millions of directories for over 50 publishers across North America (including 7 of the last 10 ADP Gold Book Champions). No other system can match BookMan's reputation for satisfied, successful customers or powerful software.

BookMan was founded by Darin Gurney in 1997. He's the president and creator of the BookMan software. Darin has vast knowledge of the phone book industry and has dedicated the last 13 years to creating the perfect solution for publishers. He is a technical wizard and enjoys adding new features to BookMan. His hobbies include skiing, boating, and 4-wheeling.

We have the best programmers in the industry. Most of our programmers have a long history of working with publishing software. They are innovative and committed to excellence.

Jamie started working with BookMan in 1994 and is our Tech Support Manager. Having been with the company for 10 years, Jamie has an extensive knowledge of BookMan and the publishing industry. Jamie enjoys installs and training. She also loves shoes!

Tamara has been working in the phone book industry since 1998 and is our Office Manager. She takes care of our HR, Marketing, A/R & A/P. She enjoys spending time with her family outdoors.

Nicole has vast experience data conversions and has been working with BookMan since 1999. She is great at installs and keeps everyone at the office smiling. She enjoys ATVs especially, 4-wheelers.

Beth started in 2005, she has rapidly increased her BookMan knowledge and has several areas of expertise. She enjoys spending time with her family and scrapbooking.

Melissa comes to BookMan after an 8 1/2 year career at PDC in multiple departments including A/R, Sales Support and Leads. She is excited for the change and to learn as much as she can about BookMan and it's inner workings.

MaryAnn is new to our support team. She grew up in Pleasanton, CA and moved to Utah to attend BYU. During college she returned home to Pleasanton every summer to coach a swim team. After she graduated from college, she got a job at Phone Directories Company.
